Glencairn Lodge provides a range of amenities and services to ensure residents enjoy a comfortable stay. Services include:

Bus
Glencairn Lodge is located on a main bus route. Services into the town centre stop outside the home's main drive.

Laundry
A full laundry service is provided for residents' clothing and freshly-laundered items are returned to their owner's room.

Telephone
Personal phone lines can be installed in a resident's room if required and a payphone is available in the reception area. The home also has a portable phone on which residents can take incoming calls in their rooms.

Hairdresser
A fully-qualified hairdresser is available to our residents two days a week. Appointments are necessary and the service does carry a small charge.

Newspapers
The home receives a daily delivery of newspapers which are available to all residents. Additional newspapers or magazines can be ordered on residents' behalf.

Library
Glencairn Lodge has an extensive and varied library for residents' use. Many of the books are in large print and there is also a good selection of audio books.

Medical services
Most residents remain registered with their own GP, who will visit them when necessary. Other medical professionals, such as dentists, opticians, chiropodists and physiotherapists visit the home as required.
