Care Plan
Providing an effective, high-quality service which meets each individual resident's needs, and exceeds all regulatory requirements, is of paramount importance at Glencairn Lodge.
To ensure that the services provided are tailored to every resident's unique requirements, Glencairn Lodge implements a Personal Care Plan for each individual.
The Personal Care Plan is at the heart of Glencairn Lodge's service and sets out the resident's preferred daily routine, their likes and dislikes and specific dietary requirements. The Personal Care Plan also covers their individual health care needs, medication and details of their GP.
The Personal Care Plan philosophy also extends to the home's staff.
Each resident is assigned their own ‘named nurse', whose job it is to plan their care and anticipate their needs, and a ‘key worker' care assistant, who ensure the resident always has any personal items they want - such as toiletries. The key worker also helps the resident plan for special occasions and helping make arrangements to celebrate key dates like anniversaries and birthdays.
Not only do residents take extra comfort from knowing that a specific nurse is looking out for their individual needs, but the named nurse and key worker also provide an excellent point of contact for relatives.
